Seems like I'm unlikely to be popular in Barnet at the moment! An organization called the Fremantle Trust has cut pay, holidays, overtime and sick leave for its workers, and now there is even an online petition to the Prime Minister to stop them. While I can't comment on the Barnet vs Fremantle argument, I can speak from my own experience that the Fremantle Trust are basically technically incompetent. It's as simple as this: they don't know their own email address.
They own and use "fremantletrust.org". I own and use "fremantle.org". But they think they own "fremantle.org". About 5 years ago, they published a job ad in the papers, with my domain address. After about 100 CVs came to me, I forwarded them on and informed the Fremantle Trust. They apologized and even sent me half a dozen bottles of wine, and I assumed that was that.
But no! They continued to use my domain name for their email. Their IT staff set up computers with reply-tos set to fremantle.org. They gave it out to partners. For five years I've been telling them what their email address is. I've had confidential emails with details of hirings, firings, confidential complaints, patient details and more. I've reported this to the chief executive. I've repeatedly bounced and responded to emails.
How hard can it be! Its fremantleTRUST.org. Doh.
